forklog.media KPMG Withdraws Report on Agent AI Due to Inaccuracies

Consulting firm KPMG has removed the report "Rethinking Excellence in the Age of Agent AI" from its websites following complaints from organizations about inaccurate or misleading claims regarding their use of the technology, according to FT. The document was published in October 2025. It claimed that several major organizations were already using AI agents to automate complex business processes, including investment consulting, risk management, transportation logistics, and healthcare. UBS and Transport Companies Deny Claims One of the most notable examples was UBS. The report claimed that the bank had integrated AI assistants into investment consulting, risk control, and compliance on a platform developed jointly with Microsoft. A UBS representative told the publication that these claims were "factually incorrect." Following the bank's complaint, KPMG began removing the document from its resources. Similar complaints arose from Swiss Federal Railways. The report stated that the railway operator used AI agents for planning and optimizing trips based on passenger preferences and environmental factors. The company stated that such descriptions were inaccurate. Representatives from Transport for London also called KPMG's claims about using agent AI for managing transport congestion and coordinating services misleading. GPTZero Identifies Signs of AI Hallucinations The inaccuracies were identified by the research group GPTZero, which specializes in analyzing AI-generated content. According to experts, many disputed sections resemble classic hallucinations of language models—instances where the system generates convincingly presented but inaccurate information. Particular attention was drawn to the case of the Greater Manchester National Health Service. KPMG claimed that the organization used agent AI to predict readmissions and route patients. However, the source cited in the report only described the use of the technology in a project for early lung cancer detection and did not contain such claims. Issue Affects Entire Consulting Sector KPMG stated that it takes the accuracy of published materials seriously and is conducting an internal investigation into the circumstances of the errors. The company emphasized that its policy requires mandatory human review and verification from independent sources. The incident is another example of problems associated with the use of generative AI in professional services. In May, EY was also forced to withdraw a similar report after discovering fictitious references and other errors. Previously, law firm Sullivan & Cromwell reported inaccuracies caused by AI use. Risks to the Research Market GPTZero CEO Edward Tian warned that errors in reports from major consulting firms could create a "secondary hallucination" effect, where inaccurate information begins to spread through media, analytical reviews, and research by other organizations. According to GPTZero, the conclusions of KPMG's disputed report have already been cited by industry publications and major international media. Experts note that such cases undermine trust in analytical materials from companies that simultaneously advise clients on AI implementation and related risk management. In June, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei urged US authorities to tighten regulations on artificial intelligence.

forklog.media Venice and Morpheus Tokens Surge After US Restrictions on Anthropic

Tokens of decentralized AI projects Venice and Morpheus surged following a US export directive requiring Anthropic to restrict foreign access to its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. According to CoinGecko, the Venice token (VVV) rose about 14% in 24 hours, trading at $16.37 by noon on June 13, 2026. The daily high reached $17.66, with trading volume increasing nearly 200% to approximately $130 million. Morpheus (MOR) gained around 21% in the same period, reaching $2.28, with a volume just under $300,000. On June 12, 2026, at 5:21 PM Eastern Time, Anthropic received an order to suspend access to the newly launched Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for foreign nationals both in the US and abroad. To comply, the company disabled both models for all clients while maintaining access to others. The Block, citing Reuters, reported that the directive was issued by the US Department of Commerce. Anthropic launched Fable 5 on June 9, 2026, as the first publicly available model in the Mythos class. The company claimed to have built-in safety restrictions, as the base system could identify and exploit software vulnerabilities. Anthropic linked the authorities' concerns to a method of bypassing these restrictions, described the issue as "narrow," and stated it is working to overturn the decision. The model's shutdown was quickly turned into a promotional opportunity by decentralized projects. Morpheus's account on X stated that decentralized AI "never looked better," thanked Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei for the "free advertising," and expressed "condolences" to users who lost access to the models. Venice founder Erik Voorhees, responding to a post about the risk of citizenship checks on AI platforms, wrote, "There’s a reason we built Venice." Voorhees's Venice is positioned as a privacy-focused, censorship-resistant AI platform based on open-source models that are less powerful than Mythos and Fable. Users stake VVV tokens for access. Morpheus rewards participants with MOR tokens for providing computing power, code, and capital, and describes itself as a community project without a founder. Anthropic stated it would share additional details within 24 hours and is working to restore access.

forklog.media Wall Street Moves from Experiments to Ethereum Adoption

Traditional financial institutions are no longer viewing blockchain as an experimental technology and are beginning to integrate Ethereum-based solutions into real business processes. This was stated by Etherealize founder Vivek Raman in an interview with CoinDesk. According to him, major banks and asset managers are gradually shifting from pilot projects to practical use of public blockchains as operational infrastructure. The first institutional use case he mentioned was stablecoins. The focus then shifted to tokenized stocks, bonds, real estate, and investment funds. Raman attributed this trend to Ethereum's dominance in the stablecoin, liquidity, and institutional deployment segments. However, the growing interest from TradFi participants has not yet been reflected in the price of ETH. Raman explained this by the long transaction cycles in traditional finance and the delay between infrastructure creation and the on-chain transfer of assets. He believes Ethereum has entered a transitional phase: the basic infrastructure is largely built, but the scale of adoption is not yet "visible" in the cryptocurrency's price. In the near future, the market may reassess the role of ETH as an asset that secures the network. Raman also defended the Ethereum Foundation amid criticism over staffing changes and the evolving role of the organization. He stated that the foundation should uphold the network's core principles—security, censorship resistance, privacy, and open standards—and continue working on long-term initiatives like ZKP technologies and protection against quantum threats. Raman suggested measuring Ethereum's ultimate success not by its price, but by its level of adoption, number of users, volume of sustainable assets, and the practical utility of the network. Earlier, Bankless educational platform co-founder David Hoffman reduced his position in ETH and stated that he no longer expects a major structural revaluation of the coin.

forklog.media Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Drops by 10%

Following the latest adjustment, the mining difficulty of the leading cryptocurrency decreased by 10.09% to 124.93 T. Source: CloverPool. This marks the largest decline since early February, when a winter storm in the US led to an 11.16% drop. However, the difficulty quickly rebounded with a 14.73% increase. At the beginning of the year, Bitcoin's difficulty was at 148.26 T and has since fallen nearly 16% from that level. The gap from the all-time high of 155.27 T recorded in October 2025 is approaching 20%. The average hash rate at the time of writing has dropped to 740 EH/s, and the block interval has increased to 12 minutes. Projections suggest further difficulty reductions. According to Glassnode, the seven-day moving average smoothed hash rate is 888.4 EH/s. Source: Glassnode. TheEnergyMag attributed the decline to Bitcoin's price drop, miners shifting resources to AI services, and the start of the summer season in Texas. Many cryptocurrency miners in the state participate in grid balancing programs, shutting down equipment during peak demand periods. According to Hashrate Index, the hash price has increased from approximately $29.4 per PH/s per day to $32.7 over the past 24 hours. Source: Hashrate Index. In June, on-chain data indicated miner capitulation.
